First of all, my computer has been dead due to a dead battery, due to a dead charger/ac adapter. I still have not had enough money to buy another adapter so am borrowing one. Hopefully soon I will have enough to buy an adapter/charger. I am quite surprised by the lack of HP computers and adapters/chargers here. Seems most laptops are not HP but Lenovo or other brands.
This past 2 weeks I have had 15 classes, most from the job with Starway. I am teaching business executives English. These classes are going very well. I have 6 students with one company - Kal Tire. They are an international tire company that serves the mining and heavy equipment industries. I have the top executives for Colombia as students. I also have a student from the Michelin tire company and an air conditioning company. Plus my two private students.
Starway, the company I am working with to get students, has ongoing contract talks with other companies so I should have more students this next month. And if some of the people who say they want me to teach them or teach their kids actually come by and arrange for lessons, I will have a full schedule soon. My Mondays are full from the start of the first class, usually around 6:30am, until the end of my last lesson at 8pm. The day is full with classes and bus rides. I need to save up some money to buy a bicycle.
I used to teach English as a foreign language in Barranquilla, Colombia. Now I'm retired and traveling throughout South America.
I'm from Kennewick, Washington, USA. In my previous life, as I call it, I was an IT guy, systems administrator, computer tech, as well as a shipping/receiving guy and also worked as a merchandising guy in a RV/Camping store.
