Well, I've made it through the roughest bit so far since Cheryl's death - dealing with all the legal stuff. I have been surprised by the amount of money one has to pay out before ever getting a penny from the life insurance - almost 22 grand! I was told the credit card companies will 'forgive' the debt on the cards of the deceased if you send them a copy of the death certificate, but alas, that is not true.
Instead of simply sending me a letter telling me to pay the credit card debt, they sent them to collection agencies. So those are paid off. But what a bunch of blood-thirsty money-hungry @#$@ they are! Well, otherwise, everything is taken care of or in the process of being finished up, thankfully.
I start back in school tomorrow. That'll be nice - getting back on a 'regular' schedule. I have just this semester to finish to get me Fitness Professional certificate, then it's the national certs - ACSM and ACE. I'm looking forward to school, seems odd to say such a thing.
I used to teach English as a foreign language in Barranquilla, Colombia. Now I'm retired and traveling throughout South America.
I'm from Kennewick, Washington, USA. In my previous life, as I call it, I was an IT guy, systems administrator, computer tech, as well as a shipping/receiving guy and also worked as a merchandising guy in a RV/Camping store.
