My book has now been edited three times by two professional editors - a developmental edit, an editorial assessment, and proofreading. Now, the next tasks are to get the cover design and interior layout/formatting done. I will hire those tasks out to the pros, as well. I want this book to be as professional as possible in every way possible when I self-publish it. My plan is to also submit queries to literary agents and hope it gets picked up and published by a publishing house. In that case, the editing, cover design, and interior work are not necessary, as those are all handled by the publisher. But, for self-publishing they are necessary if I hope to make any money from book sales.
I used to teach English as a foreign language in Barranquilla, Colombia. Now I'm retired and traveling throughout South America.
I'm from Kennewick, Washington, USA. In my previous life, as I call it, I was an IT guy, systems administrator, computer tech, as well as a shipping/receiving guy and also worked as a merchandising guy in a RV/Camping store.
