Poem - Mosquito

November 4, 2019

Mosquito
I see you
Just a black dot

Flying erratically around me
I clap my hands
And hope you are between them

I look at my hands
And I don’t see you squashed in them
Where did you go?

You disappeared
Do you have a stealth mode?
I see you again

Then I don’t see you
How do you do that?
I wish I could do that

But alas I can’t
I see you again
Line up my hands

And clap you between them
There you are
Your remains are smeared in my palms

No more mosquito
