People like to say that the conflict is between good and evil. The real conflict is between truth and lies.

Gone from 'Not so good now' to worse

Friday, 26 July 2013

Things just keep getting worse.

My friend George gave me a call this morning while he was out trying to get some money, or all of our money, back. And he also went to the bank to get a business loan on our school, which may actually happen, on Monday. Anyway, the phone call was more bad news.

He recieved a call from his landlord this morning informing him that he was being evicted and had to be out by sunday. AND, he got a call from my landlady, who happens to be a friend of George's landlord, and I am also being evicted and have to be out by sunday.

So here I am trying to get established as an english teacher, and I probably made a mistake in trusting George with so much of my money to help get the school going and get our visa's changed to work visas, and now I am being evicted. I have no money to move to another apartment, no money to go to a hotel.

What am I to do? It's time to swallow my pride. The one thing I have not done and hate the very thought of doing - asking for help from you all who read this. There are two ways it can be done, for anyone who might be interested in helping me. One is western union and other is deposit into my Wells Fargo account. If anyone is willing to help just use the contact form here and I will give you all the info needed for either method. I do have access to my Wells Fargo account here via my ATM card. There is a third option - paypal, but I don't recommend that as it takes 2 or 3 days to get money transfered out of paypal and into a bank account.

I'm not begging, just asking in case anyone can help me. I would very much appreciate it. Other than this mess, I really do like it here, I just need to get to the north side of Barranquilla where I will have much better opportunities.
